Formed in 1961 in San Diego, California at the Blue Guitar. Original members, Chris along with Gary Carr, Ed Douglas, Larry Murray and Kenny Wertz began performing traditional bluegrass throughout San Diego County. They recorded one album for Crown Records in 1963, which is now available via Ace Records.

The album features "Three Finger Breakdown", the first song written by Chris.
