About The Hillmen

Originally known as The Golden State Boys, Chris joined Don Parmley, and brothers Rex and Vern Gosdin in 1963. They performed in California, Hawaii and Nevada. The venues varied from the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, Hawaii to the Harem Lounge in Lynwood, California, and weekly guest appearances on Los Angeles television’s Cal’s Corral. Their only album, “The Hillmen” was recorded at World Pacific Studios, Hollywood in 1963. Released on Together Records in 1969 and reissued in 1981 on Sugar Hill Records.
