In 1972, Chris, with noted songwriter, J.D. Souther and former, Buffalo Springfield founder, Richie Furay formed The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band.

They recorded two albums for Asylum Records. “The Souther- Hillman-Furay Band”’, with the hit single, “Fallen In Love”, written by Richie Furay brought radio success and extensive touring. Their second, and final album, “Trouble In Paradise”, would find them disbanding. They each would each record solo albums.
