In 1985 the Desert Rose Band began performing in the Los Angeles area; Chris, along with old friends, Herb Pedersen, John Jorgenson, Jay Dee Maness, Bill Bryson, and Steve Duncan. Following Jay Dee’s departure, legendary steel guitarist Tom Brumley, who previously played for Rick Nelson and Buck Owens joined the band. They recorded six albums for Curb/MCA Records and toured extensively throughout the world. Achieving great success on the Country music charts with twelve “Top Forty’ records, and two number one hits. They disbanded in 1994.
